GNYCC Networking Reception at STATE Grill and Bar

Hosted by Greater New York Chamber of Commerce (GNYCC)

When
August 19, 2026 · 5:00 PM (confirm duration on chamber page)
Where
STATE Grill and Bar, Empire State Building, 21 West 33rd Street, New York, NY 10118Manhattan

Greater New York Chamber of Commerce’s August Midtown reception is a priced small-business night inside the Empire State Building: Wednesday, August 19, 2026, 5:00 PM at STATE Grill and Bar (Patina), ground level, 21 West 33rd Street. The chamber form says State Bar and Grill; same restaurant. Chamber.nyc lists $35 for members and $60 for non-members on event 145531. GNYCC is a five-borough civic-business host with a long run of landmark-venue receptions; prior STATE Grill nights have been written up on the chamber news page as member-and-operator density, not a tourist happy hour with a logo on the napkins. Register on the chamber form before you assume a door.

That 33rd Street entrance matters. STATE Grill sits on the Empire State Building’s ground floor between Fifth and Broadway, not in a sky lobby. Midtown small-business owners, professional-services operators, and people testing whether GNYCC dues are worth a year use this room when they need a named chamber graph without waiting for the September 17 Annual Business Expo. Same evening, AI Tinkerers NYC Demo Day runs 6:00-9:00 PM elsewhere in Manhattan. Those are different graphs: chamber referrals versus screened AI builders. A 5:00 PM STATE Grill start into a 6:00 Demo Day is a squeeze, not a double-header plan.

Wednesday, August 19, 2026, 5:00 PM start. Confirm live duration, any food-and-drink notes, and whether the $35/$60 tiers still hold on chamber.nyc/event/145531 before you clear the calendar. The listing is a chamber web form, not Eventbrite; screenshot the confirmation. Herald Square / 34th Street Herald Square is the subway hop; 33rd Street evening security and tourist foot traffic around the Empire State Building are real. Leave buffer. Do not invent an end hour from a prior year’s recap.

Bring a one-sentence description of what you sell or hire for. Treat the room as referral time, not a cold pitch hour. Online GNYCC coffees the same month are virtual; skip those for Circuit purposes. The August 20 SBA growth session on the chamber calendar is a webinar.

This reception is right if you run or advise a New York small business and want GNYCC density in a landmark Midtown restaurant. Ascend NYM’s Post-Engage night was the day before at TIAA on Third Avenue. ACG’s Summer Bash is the following Tuesday if middle-market M&A was your week.
