The National Asian Pacific American Bar Association holds its convention November 12 to 15, 2026, at the JW Marriott Los Angeles L.A. LIVE, 900 West Olympic Boulevard. The host says sessions also use the Hotel Indigo Los Angeles Downtown at 899 Francisco Street. The posted program runs Thursday through Saturday: continuing-legal-education blocks, a law-student workshop, committee receptions, a Friday plenary lunch, a Saturday awards lunch, and a Saturday closing celebration. The registration page still calls that night the closing celebration formerly known as the gala. The meals and the closing night are separate tickets. The calendar also lists a Saturday 5:30 PM VIP reception, An Evening with Ronny Chieng. The registration page is where you see whether a badge includes it.
NAPABA, founded in 1988 and based in Washington, is the national bar association for Asian Pacific American lawyers. The 2027 convention is already listed for Las Vegas. Thursday includes a women's leadership lunch. Friday adds the Thomas Tang moot court. A full badge includes the education sessions, committee and network events, hosted receptions, the exhibit village, the welcome, and the trailblazer reception. It leaves out the Friday plenary lunch, the Saturday awards lunch, and the closing celebration. Budget those tickets on top: the women's lunch is $85, the Friday plenary lunch is $125, the Saturday awards lunch is $100, and the closing celebration add-on is $250 if you already hold a badge. Guest badges are not sold. Someone who is not registered can still buy the closing celebration on its own.
This is right for attorneys, judges, law professors, and law students who want a national room and can use the education credit. The registration page also has a non-attorney member category, at the same dollar level as the government rate, for people who are not licensed in the U.S. or Canada. That category does not earn the credit. Skip the week if you needed a refundable plan. Cancellation or transfer notice had to arrive by 11:59 PM Eastern on October 8. That deadline has passed. The page says no refunds or transfers after it. The $95 fee applied to cancellations and substitutions received by that date.
Member full-convention prices through October 26 are $1,175 for law-firm attorneys and neutrals, $1,035 for in-house counsel and solo or small-firm attorneys, $800 for judges, government, public interest, and academia, and $330 for law students. Starting October 27 those four prices are $1,325, $1,185, $950, and $355. A member one-day ticket through October 26 is $625 on Thursday and $725 on Friday or Saturday. Starting October 27, Thursday is $725 and Friday or Saturday is $825. The closing celebration by itself stays $350. Negotiated hotel rates at the JW Marriott, the Courtyard across Olympic, Hotel Indigo, the InterContinental on Wilshire, the Residence Inn, and the Ritz-Carlton listed cutoffs between October 12 and October 21. Those dates have passed. The host warns that outside sites fake reservations, so use the link in a NAPABA confirmation. L.A. LIVE is a walk from Pico station.
