22nd Annual Korean Festival Hawaii

The 22nd Annual Korean Festival Hawaii is the island’s largest named Korean culture day—Saturday, August 8, 2026, 10:00 AM–8:00 PM at Kapiolani Park, 3840 Paki Avenue, just off Waikiki. Admission is free. Organizers moved the festival back to Kapiolani Park this year after recent editions at Ala Moana Beach Park, Kakaako Mauka Gateway Park, and Honolulu Hale civic grounds; Hawaii News Now notes it last sat in this park in 2013. The Korean Festival Foundation runs the program: farmers’ music and taekwondo in the morning, a 1:00 PM opening with official remarks, jajangmyeon / kimchi / bungeoppang eating contests, a 4:00 PM hanbok fashion show by Laize, then K-pop night with DJ Moobek and Kang Woo-in from 6:00. Kapiolani Park / Paki Avenue is Waikiki-adjacent civic geography, not Downtown Bishop Street and not Kalihi.
