HJJCC YBR: Leadership, Identity & Influence in Hawaiʻi

Hosted by Honolulu Japanese Junior Chamber of Commerce, with Japanese Cultural Center of Hawaiʻi

When
November 9, 2026 · 5:30 PM registration, 6:00 PM start
Where
Japanese Cultural Center of Hawaiʻi, 2454 S. Beretania Street, Honolulu, HI 96826Moiliili

The Honolulu Japanese Junior Chamber of Commerce runs Young Business Roundtable number two on Monday, November 9, 2026, at the Japanese Cultural Center of Hawaiʻi, 2454 South Beretania Street. Registration opens at 5:30 PM. The program starts at 6:00 PM and runs to about 8:00 PM. The topic is Leadership, Identity, and Influence in Hawaiʻi. Nate Gyotoku, president and executive director of JCCH, leads a storytelling conversation that walks the gallery as well as the talk.

HJJCC is the junior chamber for early and mid-career Japanese American and local professionals on Oahu. YBR is its recurring leadership dinner format. JCCH is the cultural institution next door to the conversation. Members pay $25. Non-members and guests pay $35. Food and beverages are included. Parking in the JCCH structure is validated. Space is limited. The host asks for RSVP by Monday, November 2, to Kristin Alm at ybrhawaii@hjjcc.com, and says no-shows will be billed.

This is right for people who want a leadership conversation tied to Japanese American history in Hawaiʻi, not a generic mixer. Skip it if you needed the insurance Lunchbox on November 6 or the Quad Chamber keynote on November 18. Those are owner and civic rooms. YBR is junior-chamber density with a gallery walk.

Beretania near the University of Hawaiʻi is a Moiliili stop, not Waikiki. Arrive for the 5:30 registration window. If you missed the November 2 RSVP date, email ybrhawaii@hjjcc.com anyway and ask whether a seat opened. Do not show up cold if the host already warned that space is limited.
