Tech Square Tech Hop is Atlanta Tech Week’s Midtown closeout: a free second-annual innovation block party spanning five stops along 5th Street NW between Williams and West Peachtree—Centergy One, the Global Learning Center, Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference Center, Scheller College of Business, George and Scheller Towers, and the Biltmore Innovation Center. Friday, August 14, 2026. Format is self-paced: live demos from startups, research teams, and innovation orgs; GT Food & Beverage Accelerator samples; a Scheller Executive Education tea-and-PIE tasting; iced coffee at Centergy Plaza; a Tech Square Ventures work lounge from about 10:30 AM. Midtown Tech Square is Circuit Atlanta’s Georgia Tech feeder geography—the downtown/Midtown engineering pipeline the hub names alongside Emory’s east-of-Midtown healthcare corridor. It is not interchangeable with Duluth Korean commerce or Johns Creek temple calendars, but it is where GT-linked operators actually collide during ATW. Luma showed hundreds of RSVPs at scrape time. Same week as the Peachtree Corners kickoff brunch; those are different maps (northside campus vs Midtown research row).

Friday, August 14, 2026. RSVP free on Luma and confirm live hours there—the public page is stronger on route than on a hard end time. Check in at the Georgia Tech Hotel lobby table on 5th Street. Midtown parking is painful; MARTA to Midtown / North Avenue plus a walk is usually simpler. Heat is real on an August block party—plan water and A/C breaks inside the GT Hotel.

Visit more than one stop; the hop is the product. Do not treat food samples as the whole night.

This hop is right if you work startups, GT research commercialization, or Midtown tech and want a free ATW closeout you can walk. Alpharetta demos were Tuesday. USPAACC-SE in Duluth and Emory’s Chinese American Journeys are different weekends.
